Today I finished the level editor. I believe it will give the game more depth and introduce some fun options for the players. I personally also need it to design built-in levels. Planning good scenes is hard work, and every tool to help is appreciated, especially if it can make the iterations faster.
Technically there are very few building blocks. The ground to stand on, a ladder to climb up, and a rope to get to the other side of ravines. The only features are the balloon to fly up and the bomb which causes the player to fall.
Few features should make the game easy to understand, but since the elements can be combined in many different ways, it should also make the game enjoyable. “Depth without complexity.”
